There has been and still is a serious shortage of housing in the Ottawa area. We took the opportunity to invest in a different way – adding value by redesigning existing housing and developing new multi-unit housing to accommodate more people.
Our Business Model
We are applying the City of Ottawa infill strategy to convert single family homes into multi unit homes or developing new multi level units from the ground up, resulting in more luxury rental opportunities for groups – i.e. serious students and young professionals.
We select homes that are located in good neighbourhoods and are close to public transit, universities, colleges, and all amenities
Our designs include high-end modern finishes. All major appliances are included. For our student rentals the common spaces and bedrooms are furnished, and utilities are included.
As owners, your landlords take pride in each unit and are dedicated to ensuring you are comfortable and everything is up and running smoothly. We are here to help.

After completing 2 years of Business and Marketing I found that my interests definitely were elsewhere. I changed direction completely and graduated 2nd in my class with a Construction Engineering Technician Diploma and a Civil Engineering Technologist Diploma – both with honours. I then followed my love of construction into major renovation projects. This lead me naturally to developing investment properties and the rental market. My few years in a business program has paid off too, so that wasn’t wasted.
Because of my experience in real estate, I have now obtained both my realtor and mortgage agent licences.
Hands on construction, renovation and repairs is what I love. Now that I am involved in property development and management, I feel lucky that I am pursuing something that I love with family.

After 37 years in various management positions in banking, I retired and soon after started my second career with my son Philip. My background in banking, mortgage lending, accounting, legal documentation and working with real estate agents and lawyers is a definite asset in Investment Property Development and Rental Property Management.
Throughout my career one of the most rewarding things was helping people buy their first home. I am still doing this by providing beautiful and comfortable accommodation for young professionals and students while they are working hard to start their lives

I am an investment property owner in the Ottawa area, and have been helping manage and grow the family business. I started working at the age of 16, and was able to gain valuable experience in a pharmacy setting as well as a hearing aid setting. These very different positions have helped me develop strong organizational skills, excellence in customer service, and a strong work ethic. I use these skills every day in the business.
As a former Carleton University student and young working professional, I know how vital these early years are and how much stress is involved. My goal with PCD Rentals is to try to make your transition as easy as possible by starting you out with a healthy and stable environment.
